Book Summary
I’m going to talk about Mary. When Mary lived in India(On page 1 Chapter 1)“she was a very selfish, disagreeable, bad-tempered little girl.” She didn’t know about love, and can’t communicate with someone because her parents were too busy to care about Mary. One day she moved to her uncle’s house. From that time she changed a lot. Before she didn’t care about others, but after she moved she started to have concern about anything she saw. She was happier than before.
I think that this book is about the power of change. Until Chapter 1, I’m very sad for Mary. Her life was so miserable and gloomy. If I were Mary I couldn’t stand this situation. I never dreamed my parents died. When she overcame her selfish and desperate situation I’m very surprised to her. I got two messages from this story. One is no matter how miserable I am I can stand about my difficulty. So, don’t be afraid. Another is friend. Mary’s effort was very wonderful, but except her friends like Dickon, Kamala and Martha, Mary may feel lonely as ever. I want to be a good friend to somebody. I will do. While reading this book I wish everyone to be happy because almost everyone had pain. Colin became healthier and had open mind. Mr Craven was too. When he saw his son’s walking he got great happiness. I’m very touched by scene. If someone suffer hard situation I’ll recommend this book.
