Research Chinatown
Chinatown was established by the Chinese in 1883. People came to Korea during war time, and they were concentrated in Incheon. They had to earn money to raise their children. They built a town that could experience Chinese culture. They have tried to remember their tradition and made those things to product. There are Mooncake, Black noodle, Chinese dress and Mask dance. They started to sell food and play performance. Chinatown was becoming as a basement to Chinese laborer. In this moment Korean got interest in Chinese culture. “It was also known as a tourist destination as specified in the Maintenance Section of Modern Cultural Tourism Zone in Chinatown and the Ministry of Culture in 2001”

My experience in Chinatown
I have been to Chinatown when I was a child. It was so fantastic that I can remember it very clearly. I remember that there were many attractions and amazing things. It was a very good place to experience Chinese culture. I have gotten impression on two things, Moon cake and Mask dance. Moon cake is a kind of bread, the Chinese have eaten Moon cake with watching full moon for good luck at their thanksgiving day. Mask dance is a dance with wearing horrible mask, the Chinese have danced for centuries because they believe that this dance can exterminate ghost. Wearing horrible mask is a key point of this dance. They have thought that the effect gets larger if the mask is more horrible. I also have been to a Chinese souvenir shop. I bought Chinese dress that I still have in my wardrobe. This memory is very wonderful to me. I surely admit that this experience has influenced me. I think it is good to my children to experience foreign culture.
